David Hinkle, MD

Specializing in Cataract, Glaucoma & Uveitis in Greater Boston Massachusetts

Dr. David Hinkle is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, and uveitis. He received his undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University and his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine. Dr. Hinkle performed his internship at West Virginia University Hospitals before moving south to complete his ophthalmology residency at Tulane University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA, where he was chief resident.

Following his residency, Dr. Hinkle moved to Boston to perform his ocular immunology and uveitis fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution, where he was chief clinical fellow. Dr Hinkle has been in practice for over 8 years. He most recently practiced at Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution in Cambridge. He performs routine and complex cataract and glaucoma surgery.

Dr. Hinkle is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Uveitis Society, the Foster Ocular Immunology Society, the International Ocular Inflammation Society, and the Massachussets Medical Society.

Dr. Hinkle has conducted participated in numerous clinical trials and has published numerous articles, book chapters, scientific posters, and presentations during his career.
