Specializing in Glaucoma Treatment including Microsurgery for Implants and Laser Treatments in Greater Boston Massachusetts

Dr. Lotufo is an Ophthalmologist who treats and diagnoses a variety of general ophthalmology problems but has sub-specialty training in glaucoma. He did his residency training at New York Eye and Ear and did his specialty training in glaucoma under the proctoring of Robert Ritch, MD.  Dr. Lotufo has written several papers in his career and reported on surgery using glaucoma implants.

Currently, Dr. Lotufo is specializing in microsurgery for glaucoma, including Durysta implants and xen 45 gel stents, as well as laser treatments for glaucoma, including SLT and iridotomy.  He has vast experience with traditional glaucoma procedures, tube shunts, and trabeculectomy.

Dr. Lotufo promotes good eye health through prevention and treatment of glaucoma in all stages of severity
