If you have noticed you don’t see as well at night, you’re not alone. Night blindness is a term for a decrease in the ability of the eyes to adjust to dim light. Night blindness does not mean you cannot see at night at all. Instead, it means a person sees poorly at night. Problems with night vision can impact driving in the evening, reading in dim light, and safety getting up in the middle of the night when the lights are out or low. Night blindness is not a specific condition. A decrease in vision at night is usually a symptom of another eye condition. |
